摘 要:Morphological changes of cervical squamous premalignant lesions have been well defined in the past. These changes include the gradual progression from HPV - associated koilocytie atypia,, to low grade dysplasia, to high grade dysplasia, to carcinoma in situ, and eventually invasive carcinoma. Cytological and histological monitoring by Papsmear and cervical biopsy, coupled with colposcopic examination as well as cone/leep biopsy, have been a successful strategy in reducing the incidence of cervical squamous cell carcinoma. While the latency from HPV infection to cancer is long (around 15 to 20 years), and only a small group of women with HPV infection eventually develop
