摘 要:In order to account for the plastic surface deformation occurring in cold rolling,a novel,3-D Stribeck curve is *** curve is characterised by three’anchor points’which represent(1)the friction in the boundary regime,(2)the friction in the elastohydrodynamic regime,and(3)the friction experienced in a thin lubricant *** operational numbers define the lubrication regime,representing(1)film formation in the inlet zone, governed among others by the process speed and(2)in-bite film formation facilitated by plastic surface deformation, governed among others by the sliding speed in the *** in the rolling process can be influenced by any of the 3 anchor points and 2 film formation mechanisms, all of which are influenced by the lubricant *** ideas behind the 3-D Stribeck curve can be used in a more targeted lubricant *** 3-D Stribeck curve can be measured in the laboratory, preferably for *** test methods were developed to investigate boundary lubrication of emulsions under severe conditions, mimicking frictional power intensity and flash temperatures in the roll *** correlations are found with performance in a pilot mill and a production mill.
