摘 要:正Ad-hoc network utilizing Ultra-wide band (UWB) technologies has become a major focus for wireless personal area network (WPAN). However, most of the portable devices are driven by batteries. In order to extend the battery life of a portable device, effective transmission power control (TPC) is very important. This paper discusses the requirements and implementation of the TPC algorithm for UWB networks. Simulation results show that TPC can save around 70% to 90% of power for devices separated by short distances and around 10% to 50% for devices separated by long distances.
