摘 要：The question of how far the nuclide chart in the direction of heavy elements has been studied for many years. When the liquid drop fission barrier has vanished, the existence of a nuclus is governed by the shell contribution to the fission barrier. On the theoretical side, different values are obtained for the values of the new magic numbers (closed shells) in protons and neutrons. On the experimental side, heavier elements have been produced and identified at a slow but steady rate over the years.
