摘 要:正In the next generation photonic networks controlled by the GMPLS (Generalized Multi-Protocol Label Switching) protocols, reliability of the control plane is a mandate requirement. This paper discusses requirements of a control plane over a ring network and examines several schemes to support it, considering failure recovery and easiness of administration. It also proposes a simple method to establish the control plane over a ring network based upon VLAN (Virtual LAN) technology.
