摘 要：正We have recently developed an efficient method for the synthesis of highly benzofunctionalized 2-unsubstituted indoles,including enantiomerically pure tryptophan derivatives,by a palladium-catalyzed annulation reaction between ortho-haloanilines and aldehydes（Scheme 1）. This useful strategy was recently exploited in the successful total synthesis of clavicipitic acid （Scheme 2）.
