摘 要:正 It is known that the quasi-rigid bodymode(QR mode)vibration is one of the mainsources for generating the residual vibration insettling operation and limiting the servo bandwidth,and is mainly caused by the stiffness of the pivot,themass and structure of the head actuator *** ballbearings inside the pivot determine the pivotstiffness,which in turn,determine the effectivestiffness of the head actuator *** this paper,the stiffness-related issues among ball bearings,pivot and head actuator assembly are studiedtheoretically and *** shows that thepivot effective radial stiffness depends not only onthe stiffness of the ball bearing but also on theconnection method used to attach the pivot to thehead actuator *** is also shown from themeasurement and analysis that the resonancefrequency of the QR mode,determined by the pivoteffective radial stiffness and inherent properties ofthe head actuator arm,can be moved to a higherfrequency by using a more rigid pivot and a morestiff joint.
