摘 要：Occurrence of non-pathogenic nitrogen-fixing bacteria living within the plant tissue attracts considerable attention. The A15 strain was isolated from rice paddies in China (You and Zhou 1989, Can. J. Microbiol. 35:403-408). It can fix nitrogen under microaerobic conditions at the free-living state and it colonize rice endophytically. A15 is used as a plant growth promoting inoculant of rice in China.
