摘 要:This paper presents one of applications of the Ant colony algorithm method for the reconfiguration of distribution networks with dispersed generation (DG) to reduce power losses. The electric power distribution system usually operates in a radial configuration and configuration of distribution networks is defined by tie switches and sectionalized switches. The configuration optimization problem of distribution networks is a combination optimization with a large search space involved the operational constraints of the distribution. DGs include the application of small generators, scattered throughout a power system, to provide the electric power needed by electrical customer. In particular, the term DG implies the use of any modular technology that is sited throughout a utility service area to minimize the cost of services. DG can comprise diesel and internal combustion engines, small gas turbines, fuel cell and photovoltaic. The suggested method has been implemented on sample distribution network with 3 feeders, 16 buses, 16 switches and its results have been presented.
