摘      要:Recently,edge preserving smoohting(EPS) method has been introduced to exploration geophysics from remote sensing for reducing noise while preserving discotinuities in seismic *** has been approved to be very helpful for highlighting and analysising faults,channels and fractures in seismic interpretation and placing optimal well locations. In this paper,we extended the basic EPS method to obliqueimages(curves,surfaces and seismic events in 3D seismic cubes) which were assumed to be horizontal in the original *** this study,we tried two(the dip-steering and least-square fitting) approaches,and found that the latter one produced more satisfactory results than the former one *** this extention,EPS can improve the effectness and widen the applications of the basic EPS in geophysics.
