摘      要:Tuberculosis(TB) remains the major infectious cause of death *** pleurisy(TBP) is a common manifestation of extra-pulmonary TB,still difficult to *** is regarded as a positive response to Mtb infection,characterized by an extensive inflammatory exudate in the pleural *** effort has been devoted to clarify the immunity mechanism of TB and identification of immunologically important factors in TBP. This study compared the differences of 3 cytokines(IFN-γ,IL-2,IL-4) and soluble Fas ligand(sFasL) both in serum and pleural effusion between TBP and MP,using an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).In addition,we also evaluated the relationship between sFasL and *** and pleural effusion samples were collected from 36 patients with tuberculous pleurisy,30 patients with malignant pleurisy caused by lung cancer and 30 healthy *** data showed in both groups,the levels of cytokines and sFasL were significantly higher in pleural effusion than in serum;the levels of IFN-γboth in serum and pleural effusion was significantly higher in TBP than MP;the levels of sFasL were significantly higher in TBP than MP;pleural sFasL concentrations correlated with IFN-γin TBP patients,R=0.588,P*** summary,we show that serum and pleural effusion levels of cytokines and sFasL differ in TBP and MP *** this study is limited by the small number of patients investigated,our findings might advance our understanding of the immune mechanism of tuberculosis.
