摘 要:In the work presented here weanalyzed the temperaturc depcndence ofhuman red blood cell(RBC) deformation andRBC passage behavior in narrowmicropipettes (1.3-1.7μminner diameter).Asuddcn transition from blocking to passageappeared at a critical temperature of 36.4±1.6℃..In contrast, normal RBCs not loadedwith additional calcium exhibited atemperature transition at 36.4±0.3℃ [1].Viscosimetric measurements of highlyconcentrated hemoglobin solutions andenhanced calcium content showed a suddenviscosity drop between 35℃ and 37℃.Anenhanced intracellular calcium concentrationhindered the cell ***,an1.7fold increased aspiration force had to beapplied to observe an almost hundred percentpassage above 38℃.
