摘 要：正CSIRO Textile and Fiber Technology and four major Chinese spinning mills have recently conducted an industrial top dyeing *** aim of the trial was to compare the Chinese mills performance against CSIRO’s performance in order to identify key quality issues,which affect the mills spinning quality. Results show that there are large variations in spinning performance among participating *** best of the Chinese mills performance is catching up with the world’s best practice as represented by CSIRO’s performance in this study. Yams spun at CSIRO have the best evenness,lowest thin/thick places and best breaking *** counts at CSIRO are less than half of the Chinese mills average and spinning ends-down is only one quarter of the Chinese mills average. Different mills have different *** mills have good top dyeing quality but their spinning is not as *** mills are good in spinning but poor in top dyeing.A problem common to all Chinese mills is high nep counts and high spinning ends-down. The trial has proven very useful in identifying the mills key quality problems and received a high level of interest from all participating mills.
