摘      要:Epidemiological studies of nuclear industry workers have important role to examine the health effect of low dose and low dose-rate radiation *** this study we analyzed the cohort of Korean nuclear power plants *** cohort consists of 7,459 male workers exposed to ionizing radiation and 6,508 controls without exposure *** paper presents the results of analysis on their cancer incidence between 1993 and 2002.A total of 58 cancers were ascertained for radiation workers and 50 for non-radiation ***-standardized rate ratio for two groups was 1.09(95% CI:0.74,1.62).Trend test showed that cancer incidence rate in individual dose group was not significantly increased with increasing cumulative dose(p=0.2506).Excess relative risk for all cancers combined was 6.77(95% CI:-4.02,27.54)per sievert,suggesting no statistically significant association between radiation dose and cancer *** of this study are not conclusive because of considerable *** size of the cohort,small cases of cancer incidence,and young ages of subjects limit the power of the *** we need further follow-up and the expansion of cohort to increase the power and to obtain stable risk estimate.
