摘 要：正Upper Penganga Project is one of the major Irrigation Projects in Maharashtra（India）.This Project which is now under advance stage of construction,is planned to Irrigate 1,26,000 hectares of land with requisite canal sys- tems in Pengangs,Kayadhu and Godavari *** crossing ridges a chain of tunneis are provided on Isapur Right Rank *** them s major tunnel having a length of 2.5 *** Warsngs village has a special sig- nificence in the project phasing,as 80% projected irrigation potential can be covered only after crossing the Warsnga tunnel by right bank canal. Waranga tunnel is constructed in deccan amygdsloidal basalt *** construction procedures,design aspects,geological problems resulting in over breaks end collapse of tunnel roof,remedial measures,roof treatment *** presented.
