Genetic dissection on rice leaf shape using recombinant inbred lines and near-isogenic lines from a japonica×indica cross

摘 要:Background:The upmost three leaves are generally regarded as the foremost source of photosynthetic products and are associated with yield-related traits in *** size such as leaf length and leaf width which inherit quantitatively and greatly affect by growing environment is major determinant of rice leaves,but these traits difficult to measure in large scale on living plant in *** previous studies,mutants were widely used to study leaf size,but few genes were isolated and *** approaches were needed to try and accelerate the genetic research of leaf ***:Mapping by 215 recombinant inbred lines(RIL)derived from Asominori(Japonica)with IR24(indica),49 QTL were detected for six leaf traits measured from upmost three leaves,*** leaf length(FLL),flag leaf width(FLW),second leaf length(SLL),second leaf width(SLW),third leaf length(TLL)and third leaf width(TLW),and clustered into 30 marker intervals.A set of incomplete near-isogenic lines(NIL)were developed which only carry 15 marker intervals for 23 QTLs detected in *** 30marker intervals,23 QTL distributed in 15 intervals were verified through NIL,and 4 intervals harbored four cloned genes of which 2 intervals were also confirmed by *** high environmental affect and low genotype by environmental interactions,we concluded that rice leaf length was affected by low heritability,low correlation relationships,and rice leaf width was affected by higher heritability,higher correlation relationship through the phenotype data and mapping ***:Joint analyses of RIL and NIL are a useful approach to study leaf shape traits,which can obtain more genetic information than mapping by mutant strategy.
