The study of stabilizing low-viscous W/O emulsion using Cell-trap technology

摘      要:The purpose of this study is to stabilize the low-viscous W/O emulsion. In previous studies, it is known that the stability of low-viscous emulsion can be enhanced by the contents of emulsifiers and dispersants. We developed a new method of stabilizing low-viscous W/O emulsion by impregnating the low-viscous W/O emulsion into polyurethane foam. Since this method impregnates emulsion contents into the sponge in a uniform manner with good stability, we named it the ‘cell-trap technology’. The stability of emulsion was influenced by the pore size, type, elasticity, thickness of the sponge, as well as the amount of emulsifiers and dispersants. Based on the result, the optimized formulation was established. We applied the technology to a new product called ‘the liquid sun pact’. The long lasting effect of this new product was also researched in various aspects. The long-lasting property was influenced by the type, amount of polymer, and also the type of powder used in the formulation. We developed a sweat-proof complex which is a combination of three kinds of polymers with an excellent long-lasting property. The in-vivo and in-vitro efficacy was also investigated. In result, even in extreme dry and hot sauna condition, we could obtain an excellent make-up lasting effect. This study is expected to contribute to the enhancement of both emulsion stability and long-lasting effect of W/O make-up cosmetics.
