Synthesis and Physic-chemical Properties of an Zwitterionic Gemini Surfactant

摘 要:Zwitterionic gemini surfactant with different hydrophobic tails(C-8, C-12 and CA-12) were synthesized by using ethylene glycol, phosohorus trichloride, oxygen, et al. as reactants. They were structurally characterized by IR,EA, 1H NMR, and 31 P NMR. Surface tension and oil/water interface tension were fully studied. The cmc of the synthesized surfactants evaluated by surface tension measurements ranges from 2.17×10-4 mol L-1 to 5.36×10-4 mol L-1 and the cmc surface tension values(γcmc) ranges from 26.49 m N m-1 to 29.06 m N m-1, which show excellent efficiency at reducing the water surface tension among the comparison surfactants. And on the other hand, all the surfactants can efficiently reduce the oil/water interface tension.
