摘 要:Background:Stroke is associated with high mortality and major disability burdens worldwide,but there are few effective and widely available *** is one of the most commonly used healing herbs for stroke and chronic debilitating conditions in *** are the main active principles of ginsengs efficacy,but the mechanisms have not been fully ***:To test the hypothesis that the administration of Ginseng Total Saponins(GTS) after focal cerebral ischemia may induce endogenous neural stem cells activation and adult central nervous system regeneration,and thereby improve neurological deficits. Methods:The rats were randomly divided into sham-operation(Sham) group,normal sodium(NS) group and GTS *** group and GTS group were further divided into four sub-groups according the time point 1d,3 d,7 d and 14 d with 8 rats per sub-group after the permanent middle cerebral artery occlusion(MCAO) insult.
