Some possible roles of clusterin in central nervous system（CNS）have been *** olfactory system is important in CNS for emotional responses,reproductive functions,neuroendocrine regulation,aggressive behavior, *** olfactory bulb（OB）is the center for the coding and processing of the peripheral information,and the hub for the distribution of the processed information in the olfactory *** In order to better understand the functions of this protein in the CNS,we examined the detailed distribution of clusterin in normal and anosmic mouse OB by immunohistochemical *** We found that the signals located in cell bodies at postnatal day 6 （P6）,in nerve fibers at P18,and then in neurofibrils after *** addition,less clusterin protein expression was observed for anosmic mouse,except for the high level in the olfactory nerve layer（ONL）.Conclusion The dynamic expression in OB at different ages and the increased expression in ONL for anosmic mice may provide important hints toward the potential functions of this protein.
