摘 要：There has been a paradigm shift in the management of exuda- tive(wet)AMD from laser photocoagulation to Visudyne photody- namic therapy,intravitreal steroids and more recently anti-vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)*** current standard of care is monthly intravitreal Lucentis(ranibizumab)injections for all forms of exduative AMD,regardless of lesion *** the efficacy and safety profile of Lucentis monotherapy has been re- markably impressive,there are concerns over long-term safety and cost.
