Research Review (Introduction) The geobarmal gradient and geothermal gradient are two important function variables thatreflect the physical and chemical state of lithosphere, respectively. Geothermal gradient refers tothe variability of the temperature in different lithosphere depth. So it is also called geothermal degree, which shows the lithosphere temperature that changes with its depth. However, geobarmal gradient refers to the variability of the pressure in different lithosphere depth, which reflects the mechanic (pressure) state of lithosphere that changes with its depth.
