摘 要:A well-developed gait analysis can be advantageous in the prosthetic fitting to optimise the prosthe-sis design and to monitor an amputee’s rehabilitation progress. Skilled prosthetists can evaluate prostheticfitting by observation and comparison of an amputee’s gait with the normal gait. Advanced instrumentalgait systems make it possible to quantitatively and systematically assess subtle and rapid deviations ofgait. Gait analyses, including qualitative observation, quantitative measurement and biomechanicalanalysis, have been widely used in prosthetic fitting.
