A Method for OFDM Timing Synchronization Estimation

摘      要：As a multicarrier transmission technique,OFDM is much more sensitive to timing and frequency offset than single carrier systems.In this paper,the maximum likelihood(ML)estimator and Schmidl’s method for timing synchronization were discussed,and a novel approach was introduced,which was based on the two estima- tors.Certain performance was compared between the three algorithms.The simulation results have shown that it permits some improvement in finding accurate timing synchronization error.
