New Molecular Switches and Logic Gates Based Oil Photochromic Spiropyrans

摘 要:正It is well known that the reversible structural interconversion between different states of spiropyrans can occur in response to external optical, chemical, and thermal stimulations, accompanied with the substantial changes of their photophysical and photochemical properties. By taking these particular properties of spiropyrans, new combinational logic circuits and even signal communication between molecules have been described. In this presentation, I will describe: (1) modulation of the fluorescence of new dyads with fluorescence and spiropyran units upon light irradiation and the action of ferric ion. Such fluorescence variation mimics the behaviors of logic gates and circuits;(2) intermolecular signal communication between spiropyran and 1-aminomethylpyrene/ and a bis-pyrene molecule through proton transfer /and energy transfer in the presence of Zn2+;(3) coordination of the open form of spiropyran with Fe2+ and Fe3+ and the modulation of redox potential of Fe2+/Fe3+. This property of spiropyran was used to photo-control the electron transfer between tetrafulvalene/fluorescein and Fe3+;(4) a new chiral molecular switch based on binaphthanol with two spiropyran units;(5) modulation of the thin film conductivity of polyaniline containing spiropyran.
