摘      要:正To find a more accurate method characterizing the wear particles, the fractal geometry is applied in this paper describing the wear particle accumulation. The wear experiments are carried out on a pin-on-disc test rig under dry friction condition for copper alloy pin and steel disk. The results demonstrate that the logarithm of wear particle accumulation shows good linearity to the logarithm of measuring particle size. The relation between the accumulation of wear particles to the particle size presents a strong bi-fractal behavior. In addition, it is discovered that the fractal dimension of the wear particle accumulation changes to the different wear stages. The changes of the transition point of the bi-fractals are in correspondence to the wear state variation.
