摘      要:正Monocarboxylate transporters(MCTs) play an important role in brain energy *** mediate the transport of monocarboxylates, such as lactate and pyruvate and ketone bodies, which represent a major source of energy for the brain, particularly during *** the expressions of MCT1,MCT2 and MCT4 in the brain of the rat were studied during postnatal *** report each of these isoforms exhibited regional and cellular distribution in the *** of them were found in most brain areas, including cortex, hippocampus, striatum, substantia nigra and cerebellum, from birth to *** the cellular level, the MCT1 was expressed by endothelial cells of blood vessels, ependymocytes, and *** MCT4 expression seemed to be restricted to *** contrast, the MCT2 was only found in *** MCT1 and MCT2 were most abundant in the first 3 postnatal weeks and thereafter decreased toward *** MCT4 expression was very low at birth but was enhanced strongly at postnatal day 14,reaching adult *** changes in expression of these MCTs throughout the postnatal period suggest that they may have a potential relation with the maturation of the blood-brain barrier and the gradual switch from a prominent use of blood-borne monocarboxylates to glucose utilization by the brain.
