摘 要：An experimental high resolution VTR for home use,which can record the wide band video signal such as the NTSC-TV for broadcasting or EDTV (Extended Definition TV System) recommended by Hitachi,has recently been developed. Such wide band video signal is recorded on only one recording channel without any bandwidth compression techniques by the combination of the Co-doped γFeO tape and newly-developed ferrite heads. In this paper,the design policy to realize the wide band recording and the construction and performances of the experimental 1/2 inch home use VTR are introduced.
