摘 要:The reduction of waste gas losses is often the most effective and economic way to increase the efficiency of industrial furnaces. Regenerative burners achieve highest efficiency but one has accept a certain expenditure for cyclic switching and exhaust gas suction. This might not be justified for smaller burner sizes and furnaces. A new gap flow recuperative burner reaches almost the same efficiencies with a recuperative system. To increase the working temperature range, the gap flow heat exchanger can be combined with a ceramic heat exchanger. One important aspect which has to be considered is thermal NO-formation, especially when preheating the combustion air. The use of flameless oxidation technology enables lowest NOx emissions despite high air preheat temperatures.
