摘 要:正Background and Aims: The treatment of prostate cancer (PCa) depends on stage. To improve treatment strategies, it would be helpful to have reliable molecular markers able to predict PCa progression. However, to date, such markers have not yet been included in therapeutic decisions. Recently, several studies from our laboratory described the prognostic potential of molecular markers that include ErbB3, Akt and Nuclear Factor kappaB (NF- κB) . ErbB3 is a member of the growth factor receptor family ErbB. Akt is a signaling component of the ErbB receptor family. Phos-phoinositol 3 - kinase (PI3K) through Akt regulates downstream signaling proteins such as NF - κB. Most of these molecules are often overexpressed and/or activated in cancer cells. Furthermore, they can be detected in the cytoplasm and/or nucleus of PCa cells. They are known to be involved in cell survival, cell growth, cell cycle progression and apoptotic response. The aim of our study was to determine whether these molecules could be used as markers to predict PCa progression.
