摘      要：正Pepper（Capsicum sp.） belongs to the family Solanaceae,and its main harvest areas in the world are India,Thailand, Indonesia,Mexico,Japan,Sudan,Nigeria,Kenya,and *** are one of the most popular spices and vegetables *** major pepper production regions of Taiwan are in Nantou,Pingtung,Chiayi,Yunlin,Tainan,Kaohsiung,and Hualian. Pepper was reported to be one of the important food crops used as spice-additives in *** acutatum Simmonds, ***（Penz.） Sacc,***（Syd.） Butl.＆ Bisby,and *** are the causal agents of pepper anthracnose, and usually lead to significant loss in fruit quality and yields *** disease causing a great deal of fruit reduction has been reported in India,North America,and tropical ***,it is considered an economically important disease of *** date,few environmentally safe and efficacious methods to protect crops from anthracnose disease have been *** addition,the commercial pepper cultivars used in Taiwan are mostly susceptible to *** of the pepper anthracnose primarily depended on the frequent applications of fungicides which had adverse effects on environmental pollution,people health, and farmer ***,the most secure ways to manage anthracnose disease at present is based on the development of resistant lines,and planting resistant cultivars to increase the quality and yield of pepper and at the same time to reduce the use of chemical *** the resistance mechanism of pepper against anthracnose will provide some hints to develop efficacious crop protection strategies and also reduce the time needed for resistance breeding program in the ***,little information is available on resistance mechanisms of pepper to anthracnose so *** advanced understanding of interactions between pepper and pathogen can lead to the establishment of more efficient management *** order to eluc
