摘      要:Recently years,considerable attentions have been focused on the various polyhedron-based branching particles due to their fundamental significance and their widespread potential ***,the knowledge of the original nature and the growth mechanisms for these complicated structures are still *** this paper,polyhedron-based branching CuO micro-crystals have been prepared via electrodeposition process without any surfactant at the room *** electron diffraction pattern of the branching CuO micro-crystals can be indexed as a single crystal as many other polydedron-based branching crystals *** carefully analyzing the intensities of the diffraction spots,we conclude that the crystal twinning (stacking fault)is responsible for the well-shaped CuO micro-crystals,which indicate that these branching particles in fact multiple twinned crystals,other than perfect single *** could be anticipated that the crystal twinning(or the stacking fault)could be the common phenomena in the single-crystal-like branching particles.
