摘      要:正Objective To explore the relationship between cognitive function and the genetic polymorphism of Apolipoprotein E (ApoE) and Angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE). Methods Using polymerase chain reaction(PCR)-based technique, polymorphism of ApoE and ACE were determined in 341 community elderly aged 65 years or over. All were assessed by Neuropsychological Test Battery for Elderly (NTBE). Results Controlling age and educational level, group with ApoEe4 allele was better on the scores of some sub-test (auditory verbal learning and delayed recall, naming recall, visual recognition, verbal fluency about first names, mini-token, motor, finished time of Cancellation test of red circle) than the group without e4 , the difference were significant. The difference of construction test and number of near-misses of color trials 2 test between two groups had significant tendency (P=0.06). The group with ACE D allele were better on the scores of some sub-test (auditory verbal learning and delayed recall, sorting, mini-token, finished time of color trials 1 and 2 than the group without D, the difference were significant. The difference of motor test between two groups had significant tendency (.P=0.08). Conclusions Cognitive function correlates to the genetics polymorphism of ApoE and ACE. Screening and detecting elderly with potential high risk on cognition impairment in advance through identifying these genetic individuals will contribute to early intervention of successful aging.
