摘 要：正Introduction. The Australian wool industry commenced the commercial use of staple measurement of auction lots in 1980 following the initial results of the TEAM （Trials Evaluating Additional Measurement） project （TEAM 1988）. This has allowed commercial trade partners, exporters and mills alike to make considerable advances in topmaking risk reduction, through the use of the prediction equations developed. In addition, these techniques have enabled mills to investigate processing efficiencies and benchmark the processing chain. This in turn has led to additional cost reductions.
