摘      要：正This paper describes some experience of earthfill dam construc- tion by utilizing lateritic soils available abundantly in the vast areas of southern *** studies the lateritic soils with special reference to the formative conditions,physico-mechanical properties and the effects on engineering properties of the irreversibility of desiccation,free iron oxides and macro-and *** addition,it proposes some noteworthy considerations in the design and construction of earthfill dams using lateritic soils as dam materials.
