摘 要：The intention of the writer of the present article is to raise the question as to whether the large amounts of anti-tetanus serum which it is now customary for makers to suggest and physicians to prescribe are really necessary in the great majority of cases of tetanus. He has to admit that his first attempts to treat such cases with minimum doses of the anti-toxin were the outcome of repeated refusals by the ryots in India to pay such fees as the larger quantities of antiserum would involve, On several occasions during four years practice in a General Hospital in Guzerat, one of the more advanced and wealthy
