摘      要：There is a harmful effect on optical cable in a dangerous electromagnetic environment. The optical cable ed he affected by high-intensity electromagnetic impulse due to temperature rise. This paper will discuss these effects and introduce some protection measures. Finally, we point out other ef fects on optical cable from moisture, nuclear radiation and dangerous industrial environment.
