ROENTGENOLOGIC DIAGNOSIS OF SPINAL CORD TUMOR

摘 要：A discussion of 202 cases of spinal cord tumors with relation to diagnosis by plain film x-ray and myelography is presented. Neurofibroma and spinal meningioma were the tumors of most frequent occurrence in the series. The thoracic region of the spine was the most common tumor site and the most common anatomic classification was intradural ***, the most commonly seen bony changes were morphologic changes of the pedicles and widening of the interpedicular distance. As slight widening of this distance is difficult to determine, measurement is strongly *** myelographic findings of 98 cases are analyzed in detail. Generally, the location of the tumor, as determined by myelography, was surgically confirmed. The slight deviation was considered to be due to: the presence of adhesions around the tumor, the central beam of x-ray not passing through the level of the block, or the difference in position assumed by the patient.
