摘      要:The successful preparation of coordination polymers from modular precursorshas provided a facile approach to develope solids and functional materials. A popular strategy thatcould be employed in the area is the adoption of bridging lig-ands such as cyanide, bi-pyridine,benzenetri-carboxylate, etc. In this context, multi-connecting carboxylates are at presentespecially interesting because they exhibit rich coordination chemistry by coordinating to metalions and have been proved to be a treasury in the design of desired topologies. Althoughbenzenetetracarboxylate ligand is also an excellent bridging reagent, attempts to preparemetal-organic polymeric or supramolecular structures based on this ligand are now rather ***, we have devoted our efforts to assemble new coordination polymers based on this ligand andtransitional metal ions, and obtained a series of novel complexes. We report here the synthesis andstructural characterization of a new compound {[Ni(phen)H_2O] ·(μ_4-C_(10)H_2O_8)_(1/2)}_n(1)exhibiting two-dimensional benzene-tetracarboxylate-Ni (Ⅱ) polymeric layers in the structure.
