摘      要：On the ground of the recent development of modal logic, this paper presents a survey of the so-called Hybrid languages which provide a truly modal solution to the problem of modal logic’s lack of mechanism in dealing with possible worlds explicitly. Without destroying the simplicity of propositional modal logic, the basic idea of the hybrid languages, a kind of extended modal logic, is“using formulas as terms, i.e. sorting the atomic symbols, of which one kind is used as nominals of the possible worlds. Far from damaging the underlying modal logic, the hybridization has arguably improved its logical behavior.
