摘      要：Liu Ben,the former executive editor of Philosophical Researches,who has the merits that focuses on the social problems and crisis,serves as a model for Chinese scholars on how to deal with the relationship between the theoretical and practical *** can be counted as the public mental wealth to which he had contributed is the following:The critical thinking he has can be described as the continuous process of coping with the practical problems in terms of Marxism;The practice of academy and edition to which he used to devote himself should be regarded as the work of constantly enriching and developing the historical materialism,which includes specifically placing his starting point firmly on studying Chinese social problems,analyzing and resolving the various contradictions in the Chinese development of socialism,dealing with the new problems in China’s reform and opening ***,it is,to some extent,our necessary task to study and digest the wealth I have mentioned above,and promote or advance the academic development of China.
