摘      要：Based on the concepts of Memetics, this paper aims to analyze the origin, the replication and transmission of Hodor and explores the reasons why it is a strong meme. The word Hodor generates from education and impartation of knowledge. This education and impartation is not from school but from TV media and Internet. This study provided the popularity of Hodor with theoretical support and revealed the law of language development, which can serve people creating powerful memes with some useful hints and references.
