摘 要：Language and society are closely linked. Taboo words are formed in the language of people s taboos about certain thingsand behaviors in social life. The existence of taboo words has prompted a great deal of euphemism. They are related to psychologi-cal basis, pragmatic function, variable rule and national characteristics. Taboo words and euphemism are related to psychology, lan-guage, alternation and nationality. Taboo words and euphemism have great influence on people s social interaction education. Ta-boo words and euphemism have important positive meanings to the development of linguistics.
