摘 要:[Objective] The study aimed to develop the forecasting and early waming system of floods in small and middle river basins. [Methed] Taking small and middle rivers in Jiangxi Province as the research object, using the Hydro ArcTools module of arcgisl0, the digital drainage network and basin boundaries of Jiangxi Province were extracted from the 1:50 000 digital elevation model ( DEM) of Jiangxi Province. Afterwards, the geo- graphic information database of small and middle rivers were established, and areal precipitation in Chongyi region was calculated using Thiessen polygon method based on precipitation data during June 20 -22, 2012. [Resttlt] When the threshold was 78 65,5, the extracted river systems and basin boundaries could meet the demand of actual application and could be used as the basic parameters of areal precipitation prediction model. The areal precipitation in Chongyi region was higher than 7 mm, and it was higher in the east compared with the west. [ Conclusion] The research could provide scientific references for the control and prevention of flood in future.
