摘      要：Translation is the process of converting a source language text into a target language text. Since translation theories are the basis of translation practice, they provide principles to translators which can assist or guide them through the whole process. Among the many theories, the feminist translation theory, which arose during the late 1970s as a conjunction of the translation studies and feminist wave, explored a new domain of translation from the gender perspective. Hence, this paper intends to have a better understanding of how this distinctive theory operates and whether it is significant or useful for the practice of translation.
