摘      要:The Gongzui reservoir on the Daduhe Rivet, controlling 98% of the entire river basin. is a major power project in Sichuan Province. Since 1971, the reservoir has been seriously silted up and lost more than 60% of its total storage capacity and 14% of its regulation storage. The sedimentation in the reservoir has seriously influenced the power output and generators in recent years, and may cause some flood disasters in the upstream of the reservoir Especially, the deposition of coarse particles will endanger the security of Shaping section of Cheng-Kun railway, located at the upstream of this reservoir. The sediment problem is a key challenge for the reservoir management A systematic research is needed to solve the problems. This paper presents recent observation data details of sediment problems and possible sediment disasters in the future. Variation process of the typical cross section from 1977 to 1997, average particle distribution of bed material along the reservoir, the ratio between input and output sediment load, bed load sediment deposition, fluvial process of the delta, and their effects on the regulated storage and the floods in the upstream are discussed in this paper. Three possible programs and their functions for reducing and controlling sedimentation are also proposed.
