摘      要：A methodology study is performed in order to get access to databases and calculations via Internet. The data retrieved from a database or calculated from a program can be converted into HTML documents using the HTML extension files (* htx) as the template and sent back to the web browsers. As an example, a database and a program package for thermodynamic and equilibrium properties data retrieval and calculations in engineering chemistry are developed on the web server.
