摘 要:Debris flow, one of natural disaster in mountainous areas of poor geology structure, is often triggered by rainstorm, and is extremely harmful to traffic and mine construction. Located in the most disastrous area of soil erosion and water loss in the middle Yellow River, Jungar opencut coal mine plans to strip topsoil about 400 million m3, and there will be one fourth abandoned stone and 75 percent loess in the stripped material in the first phase of the coalfield construction. The waste solid piles will be over 100 meters high. Stress analysis and the natural features of the area corroborate the probability of initiating landslides and then leading to debris flows during storm periods. The maximum landslide velocity is estimated to be about 37.6 m/s with the average of 18.8 m/s, the landslide volume is calculated about 1,400 to 6,580,000 m3 in the first five years of the coalfield construction.
