摘      要：The concept of Flourishing Age in the Reigns of Emperor Kangxi and Qianlong actually reflects the Chinese people’ s long-standing mentality and dream for the prosperous ***,the Chinese people are inclined to classify the history of China into the wild times and peaceful & prosperous times Judging a certain historical period as the prosperous times or the decli-ning times. In their mind,the Chinese history cycles between prosperity and decline. Such mentality and complex demonstrate the ancient Chinese peo-ple ’ s admiration and yearning for the peaceful and prosperous era.
