摘 要:Molybdate doped-polypyrrole (PPy) was electropolymerised on the mild steel surface. The morphology of polymer film was studied with scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The chemical structure of polymer was characterized with Raman spectroscopy. The presence of molybdate doped inside polypyrrole was identified by EDX spectra. The thermal analysis (TGA) showed that polypyrrole was stable up to 500 °C. The corrosion protection of the polymer film was investigated by electrochemical methods showing that the polymer film acted as a barrier layer and molybdate as an inhibitor for corrosion protection of metal. Molybdate dopant was the key component of self-healling polypyrrole film.
